Mr. Gurudas Aras holds Bachelor’s Degree in the Textile Engineering from Bombay University with a
Gold Medal and First Rank with distinction. He has also completed Master’s Degree in the Textile
Engineering by research and Post Graduate Diploma in “Marketing Management” from Bombay
University. Mr. Aras is a qualified Independent Director as certified by the Indian Institute of
Corporate Affairs under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and a CRISIL certified ESG Risk Analyst.
Mr. Aras has a very rich and vast experience of over 43 years in the Textile Industry. He was
associated with the A.T.E. Group – a renowned Textile Engineering Group, since 1981 and retired as
the Director of A.T.E. in 2021. He was a Director on the A.T.E. Group Companies, namely, A.T.E.
Enterprises Private Limited, A.T.E. Technologies (Bangladesh) Private Limited and Valence Electrons
Private Limited.
Mr. Aras has been working as a Strategic Business Advisor for 2 German companies, namely ITA
Technologietransfer GmbH, Germany and APS GmbH, Germany as well as for 2 Indian companies
Yamuna Machine Works and Rabatex Industries for the last 3 years. Mr. Aras is also an Independent
Director on the Boards of Indian Card Clothing Ltd (NSE listed), Unitop Chemicals Pvt Ltd, Tristar
Intermediates Pvt Ltd. and Romakk Chemicals Pvt Ltd; all three being subsidiaries of Rossari Biotech
Ltd, a NSE Listed Company.
Mr. Aras is a member of the Board of Studies and Advisory Group of V.J.T.I. Textile Engineering
Department, a leading autonomous Engineering Institute in Mumbai. He is also a Trustee of the
Textile Association of India, Mumbai unit. Mr Aras is on the Editorial Advisory board of 2 leading
magazines, namely Indian Textile Journal (ITJ) and Journal of Textile Association (JTA).
In the past Mr Aras has worked on various committees and taskforce of CII, FICCI, TMMA and Indo-
Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Aras was awarded “Service Gold Medal” by the Textile Association of India in December, 2018
for his exemplary services to the Indian Textile Industry.
