Mr. Prabir Bandyopadhyay has over 40 years of diversified experience in textile manufacturing, covering greenfield project execution, operations, quality assurance, technical services, and overall business management. He is currently associated with Syama Denims and previously served as CEO of LNJ Denim and Mayur Suitings (2008–2018).
Earlier, as Executive Director of Soma Textiles & Industries, he implemented a 100% EOU unit at Baramati, Maharashtra, and established one of India’s first indigo dyeing plants (1986–87). He also held senior leadership roles at Mafatlal Industries, where he was responsible for setting up the knitwear plant at Sanand and later managing operations at the Nadiad unit.
Mr. Bandyopadhyay holds a B.Sc. Tech from Calcutta University, an M.Text (Engg.) from M.S. University of Baroda, and a Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Management from the same university. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Valuers and has presented valuation papers in India and abroad.
